Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye has advised Ghanaians to adhere to COVID-19 safety measures to ease the infection rate in the country.
According to him, COVID-19 cases in Ghana are rising hence people should adhere to the safety protocols.
He also pleaded with the media to educate the public to wear the nose mask.
Speaking to Accra-based station, Dr Kuma-Aboagye stated that “We have an increasing number but it’s not an alarming figure and we are hoping to contain the situation as it is now”
To him, a thousand three hundred and something people is carrying the virus.
Dr Kuma-Aboagye cleared the air that the country faces an imminent total lockdown if cases continue to rise.
