Ghana international Majeed Ashimeru has joined Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht on loan until the end of the 2020/21 season from Red Bull Salzburg.
The 23-year-old wrapped up the anticipated move to RSC Anderlecht and will have an option to seal a permanent move but Anderlecht will have to cough 2.5 million euros before they can sign him outright.
Ashimeru is seen as a direct replacement for South Africa international Percy Tau who was recalled by parent club Brighton and Hove Albion.
“RSCA loans Majeed Ashimeru from Red Bull Salzburg.
“The 23-year-old player from Ghana joins Anderlecht on loan with an option to buy,” an official statement from the Belgian club has announced today.
Majeed Ashimeru, 23, has in the past few years significantly improved his game and is hoping the move gives him the chance to play regularly to continue his rise to the top.
Ashimeru featured for WAFA in the Ghana Premier League before moving to Europe.
