Former Asante Kotoko and Ghana legend Ntow Gyan has said it vehemently that the newly appointed Black Stars head coach in the person of Charles Kobina Akunnor is too young to head the technical department of the senior national team.
Ntow Gyan believes there are many local coaches with rich CV and experienced than the former VFL Wolfsburg captain.
“We have equally good coaches who are better than him to do the job; Ntow Gyan quizzed on Bryt FM.
On Tuesday, the Ghana Football Association appointed Charles Kobina Akunnor as its new National team head coach to replace Kwesi Appiah.
The former Asante Kotoko gaffer stepped up from his role as an assistant coach of the team following the departure of Kwesi Appiah early this month.
Charles Kobina Akunnor coaching started at Sekondi XI Wise in 2009. His big move came almost immediately as he was signed on as the head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak in 2012.
He then went on to join Dreams FC before Ashantigold and Asante Kotoko respectively.
