Ghana’s COVID-19 deaths have risen from 577 on 18th February to 582 on 19th February 2021.
Also, Active cases have increased from 6,658 on 18th February to 6,812.
A total of 95 others are also in severe condition and 28 in critical condition.
Ghana Health Service Report indicates that 73,365 patients have recovered since March 2020 out of the 80,759 confirmed cases.
The number of tests conducted so far is 872,594 and on the Gender distribution of cases, males remain 58% and female is 42%.
The government had applied for two different Covid-19 vaccines; Covishield; the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, manufactured by the Serum Institute in India, and the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine, manufactured in Russia.
The two are expected to arrive in the country by the end of this month.
The Minister Designate said while the nation awaited the start of vaccination, it was paramount that every Ghanaian adhered to the coronavirus prevention protocols.
Mr. Agyemang-Manu said the Health Ministry would deploy a total of 12,471 vaccinators, 37,413 volunteers, and 2079 team supervisors for a planned two rounds vaccination campaign.
