Electoral area coordinators, polling station executives and Party Executives in the Fomena constituency have called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo to retain the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Hon Kusi Kwaku Eric as DCE to sustain development.
According to them, the DCE has proven beyond doubt since he assumed office and has therefore called on the President to allow him to continue the good work he has done in the constituency over the years.
The executives led by Alhassan Adam, Fomena Constituency Youth Organizer in a presser on Monday, 29th March 2021 pleaded with President Akufo-Addo to maintain Hon Kusi Kwaku Eric in his second term of office.
The executives also urged the president to offer a better position in government for Philip Ofori Asante, the Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party, during the 2020 General Elections to enable the Party to form a formidable force at the constituency level ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
” Maintain Hon Kusi Kwaku Eric as DCE for Adansi North District for the betterment of the party in the constituency and also offer a better position in government for Philip Ofori Asante, the Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party, during the 2020 General Elections to enable the Party to form a formidable force at the constituency level ahead of the 2024 General Elections” the statement read.
“It is important to draw the attention of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo the president of the Republic, National and Regional executives that some supporters of the independent candidate in Fomena constituency during 2020 general elections including their campaign manager Samuel Kwaku Afoakwah, operations manager Daniel Nkansah, PRO Seth Oduro and Desmond Afoakwah are now lobbying for DCE’s Position in our constituency and for that matter Adansi North District”
“We are therefore by this petition, pleading with H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo president of the republic, National and Regional executives of our party not to entertain that.”
“Failure to do that would be an indictment on the party, and would serve a bad precedence which would encourage other party members to follow independent candidates and later take the party at ransom.”
