The Asamankese Circuit Court Presided over by His Honour Abubakari Abass Adams has convicted two men to three years imprisonment in hard labor for stealing and causing harm.
The accused, Francis Otoo, 35-year-old mason was sentenced to two years and his accomplice, Bismark Sarkodie, a 22-year-old electrician was also jailed one year after he pleaded guilty with four counts while one other is at large.
Sergeant Samuel Owusu, the Prosecuting officer said the complainant is Kingsley Amoah Bediako who resides in the I.C.G.C area in Asamankese while the accused persons also live in Accra.
He on 6th April 2021, the complainant left Home for work at about 7;30am and locked his doors but about two hours later received a phone call from one of the residents in the I.C.G.C area that some men believed to be thieves have jumped his fence wall and entering his room.
Kingsley Amoah Bediako quickly rushed Home and saw some residents in his area surrounded in his House by two aliens.
Upon a search into the complainant room, it was detected that the two men who were arrested by the witnesses caused damage to his doors and they handed the suspects to the police who also investigated their alleged act and the accused confirmed their attempt to steal and they were sent to court later for prosecution.
