Friends and sympathizers today Friday, January 31, 2020 follow Kofi Obeng-Mensah in Abuakwa North constituency in the Eastern region stormed the party office at Akyem Kukurantumi to summit his Parliamentary Primaries nomination forms to officially contest the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency, Gifty Twum-Ampofo.
According to the Friends and sympathizers, Kofi Obeng-Mensah has what it takes to lead the Abuakwa constituency with regards to developmental projects to the constituents. The friends of Obeng-Mensah a grandson of Professor Adu Boahene from Akyem Osiem in their chanting songs indicated that, they love him and have confidence in him to revive Abuakwa North when voted to power. “We love him and we have confidence in him that, when he get the power, he will work with it and improve Abuakwa North, it seems we are asleep nothing works in Abuakwa North’’.
Mr. Kofi Obeng-Mensah is a well-established man who has shown much concern over the years for the people of Abuakwa North especially the unemployed youths by providing jobs for some of them and would want to do more.
Obeng-Mensah according to those who followed him to pick the forms said he is ever ready to help the entire commuters of Abuakwa North constituency.
They further added that there is a lot that the government has to do for the people of Abuakwa North constituency but it take a good visionary and competent leader like Kofi Obeng-Mensah to go to parliament and lobby for them, therefore the NPP delegates should grant him the will power to help build the constituency to benefit the people in it.
In an interview shortly after picking his form, Kofi Obeng-Mensah pledged to conduct a campaign devoid of personal attacks and maintain the peaceful atmosphere the NPP has enjoyed in the area.
