The Police in Sunyani have arrested a man for allegedly killing his 12-year-old step-sibling and another 15-year-old child.
The body of his stepbrother was however found mutilated and kept in a double door refrigerator as meat.
On August 20, 2021, at about 10:10pm Thomas Adjei aged 56 years, a driver at Abesim a suburb in Sunyani came to reported to the police that same day at about 5:30pm, his stepson Richard Appiah came in for his son Louis Agyemang Junior aged 12 years to his house but the son has since not returned.
That same day around 11:30pm, the anxious father and his four brothers were arrested and brought to the station suspect Richard Appiah, a 28-year-old architect and a Surveyor on suspicion of knowing the whereabouts of his son.
Police together with the complainant and suspect proceeded to the house where the suspect resides at Alaska near Abesim.
Surprisingly police found the deceased lying in a supine position in one of the rooms.
The Crime Scene Management team led by the Regional Crime officer Superintendent Kennedy Adusei and the Sunyani District Commander DSP Francis Humado conducted a thorough search in the house in which mutilated human parts were found in a double door fridge in one of the rooms.
The body is believed to be that of 12 years of stepbrother Louis Agyemang Junior the suspect went to take him from his father.
One of the deceased was identified to police Stephen Sarpong aged 15years.
Bodies have since been sent to the Mentukwa private mortuary for preservation and autopsy because the regional and municipal mortuaries were full.
Meanwhile, the Acting Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akufo Dampare has directed the CID at Police headquarters to provide Technical Assistance to the Bono Regional Police command to investigate the incident.
Dr. George Akufo Dampare has meanwhile commended residents of the Alaska community for collaborating with the police to smoke out the Suspect.
