Ghana international Tariq Fosu move to Championship side Swansea City fell through on transfer deadline day.
The Swans were in talks with Premier League side Brentford over the acquisition of the Ghanaian midfielder on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent if he manages to impress.
Tariq Fosu was expected to join Swansea on the transfer deadline day on Tuesday 31 August 2021, however, he was excused from Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa but the deal fell through.
The 25-year-old made 49 appearances for Brentford last season as they won promotion to the Premier League.
But he is yet to feature for the Bees in this campaign after falling down the pecking order under manager Thomas Frank.
