Municipal Chief Executive for the Effutu Municipal Assembly, Hon Alhaji Zubairu Kassim have encouraged candidates participating in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to go all out to pass and pass well since his outfit, the Assembly and their Member of Parliament, Hon Alexander Afenyo Markin is composed to support best students to pursue a better education.
According to him, the exams they are writing today are no different to those that they have written since their 9 years in the classroom so they must gather the confidence and write it well to get access to the best SHS in the country including Winneba.
During his address to the candidates when he toured some Winneba centres as the exams commence today, the MCE advises the students to pray to God after their papers have been given and also to read over the paper before they start.
“Start with the easier questions and later tackle the difficult ones,” he told Bryt FM’s Central Regional correspondence, Eric Owusu Amponsah.
The Municipal Director of education for Effutu, Madam Judith Micah on her part, admonished the candidates to desist from all manner of malpractices that could endanger their probabilities.
“Get yourself equipped, relax for 30 minutes before the accurate time to enable you to boost your confidence towards the paper and conduct yourself properly in the examination centre to aid you from destruction.”
Madam Judith Micah, however, caution the BECE candidates to avoid carrying external materials to the examination room and bear in mind that they are writing a class exercise, end of term exams, or mock and to read the questions very well before they choose the ones they can answer best to aid them to come out with flying colours”.
“We want each and every student to have a bright future therefore do all your best to bring out better results because we are ready to support the best student.”
