Supporters of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the New Juaben North constituency has been charged to propagate the legacy of the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama in the wake to the December general elections.
Parliamentary aspirant of the NDC for the constituency, Emmanuel Kwaku Asante is of the view the former President left a lot of good legacy in terms of his performance under his tenure which must be a major campaign message for the NDC.
He added that the NDC is poised to take the seat from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) which has taken monopoly of the seat over the years.
Mr. Kwaku Asante disclosed this at Effiduase on Friday, 14th February 2020 when he filed his nomination forms to contest in the party’s upcoming primaries.
He stated the party will engage in door to door campaign to convince Ghanaians the need to vote back the NDC into power and also educate delegates within the constituency the essence of giving the NDC the power to represent them in Parliament as well.
He insisted that successive MPs have failed constituents despite numerous promises made before elections.
The aspirant was also the former Municipal Chief Executive for West Akyem (Asamankese) during the Rawlings administration.
