Mrs. Comfort Doyo Ghansah, Deputy Minority Chief Whip, has told the New Patriotic Party that the Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo needs pampering from her party leadership at the moment.
She asked the NPP leadership to be calm and listen to her concerns rather than the public backlash.
“All women are the same, they need pampering a lot. If you can get them and you don’t pamper them, by all means, you will crash with them. So they should rather relax, get her, sit her down and check what the actual problem is,” the Ada MP told TV3’s Komla Kluste in an interview.
She further said the NPP leadership in Parliament has not been able to mobilize all of its members to get government business done in Parliament successfully.
Ghansah Doyo said that apart from Adwoa Safo who has been absent, the NPP has not been able to get all of its lawmakers to be available to push their policies through.
“It is just the frontline and few of them who are interested in this E-levy. Apart from Adwoa Safo, they should tell me the day they have been able to marshal 137 people to the chamber. They should tell me one day that they have been able to marshal 137 people to the chamber.
“If they add Adwoa Safo, it will be 138. Apart from Adwoa Safo, go and pick our votes and proceedings and check the day they have been able to marshal 137 people into the chamber.
“A lot of them are not interested in the E-levy but just that they cannot talk,” she said.
