There was confusion Saturday morning during the NPP polling station election at Bron Densuso polling station in Suhum constituency in Eastern Region.
According to the angry youth of the party, for about 20 years no fair election has been held hence the old executives continue to occupy the positions as polling station executives.
The same modus operandi was used as prospective aspirants were denied forms however a youth activist Nuertey Richmond managed to secure a nomination form and contested the polling station secretary position as the rest of the positions were unopposed.
However, the old executives attempted to manipulate the election against Nuertey which they resisted.
Nuertey Richmond contested one Dugba in a keen tensed election supervised by armed police.
Nuertey who had the massive support of the youth won the poll.
Nuertey Richmond spoke told mybrytnewsroom.com that, polling station elections in the area have been over the years hijacked by some greedy party executives.
He is happy for winning for the youth to have a voice in the party.
