Private Legal Practitioner and Aide to the Former President John Dramani Mahama, Lawyer Goodwin Edudzi Tamakloe has stated that the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta have collapsed the country’s economy.
According to him, Dr Bawumia and Ken Ofori Atta have become national security risks to the economy.
Sharing his opinion on the E-levy, Lawyer Goodwin Tamakloe affirmed Akufo Addo-led administration has failed Ghanaians in a shameful manner.
He averred that the conservation about E-levy is a matter of principle adding that the Economic Management Team has thrown the fiscal responsibility act into the dustbin.
The E-levy is taboo to the vice President, Dr Bawumia because he doesn’t speak about E-levy
Speaking to Accra-based radio station, Lawyer Goodwin Tamakloe referred the NPP led administration to tax the Telecommunication networks
He said the conservation of E-levy is a matter of principle adding that the Akufo Addo led administration is unpopular.
He indicated that Dr Bawumia made it known that mobile money is a medium of the wage for poor people and it is not necessary to tax Ghanaians on mobile money.
Lawyer Goodwin Tamakloe disclosed the E-levy does not fall into any model of taxation.
He reaffirmed that the NPP government has promised to move the economy from taxation to production.
