At least one person has been confirmed dead while 18 have sustained injuries in a fatal accident on Accra to Kumasi Highway after a Toyota Hace collided head-on with a Kia Rhino with registration number GX 8415-18 at Akyem Anyinasin on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.
According to an eyewitness, the Toyota vehicle traveling from Kasoa to Kumasi wrongfully overtook a vehicle at a curve hence collided with Kia Rhino from the opposite direction.
Victims were rushed to Hawa Memorial Hospitals in Osiem, Kibi Government Hospital, and Suhum District Hospital.
The body of the deceased identified as Kwasi, 34, has been deposited at the Kibi Government mortuary.
