The likes of Nana Dr. Kwaku Duah acting President of Offinso Traditional Council, DCOP Faustina Agyeiwaah Kodua of the Ghana Police Council, and many other dignitaries graced the 20th graduation ceremony of The Physically challenged Action Foundation (PCAF) which is a private training school for Persons living with Disabilities in the Offinso Municipality of Ashanti region has all called on Ghanaians to desist from discriminating against PwDs in order not to kill their God-given talents and also deny them the right to live or enjoy life.
During a ceremony held at the school premises in Offinso Maase, seven Persons with Disabilities comprising 5 men and 2 women after successfully completing their 4-year training in fashion designing, shoemaking, and beads building graduated with NVTI Certificates.
Speaking in an interview with the media after the program, Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko, Queen Mother of Offinso Traditional Council praised the director of the school for giving hope to Persons with disabilities.
For his part, Dr. K.K. Sarpong the CEO of Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) supported each of the 7 graduands with a cash amount of Ghc1,000.00 industrial machines and other tools called on Government, Cooperate bodies, and other Philanthropists to come to the aid of the school.
Meanwhile, Barima Antwi Sylvester popularly known as Mr. Ark, the Director of The Physically Challenged Action Foundation revealed that the school with a population of over 200 Physically Disabled students is entirely free but feeding, accommodation, utility bills, and other costs is a major problem to him.
Finally, some of the graduands who could not hide their joy expressed their joy and gratitude for the support.
