Former Ghana assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko believes Otto Addo’s led technical team can deliver when given the free hands to work for the Black Stars.
The former Black Stars player aided by Mas Ud Didi Dramani, Chris Hughton and George Boateng lead the West African powerhouse to secure qualification to the biggest soccer mundial at the expense of Nigeria in March.
BrytSports has learnt the technical team will be maintained ahead of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers and the World Cup tournament.
In an interview with Sylvester Ntim of Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the former assistant of Cameroon expressed 100% confidence in the technical team led by Otto Addo.
“Judging from the two games Ghana played against Nigeria, you could see there was a calmness in the team. The new technical team ensured there is peace in camp”
“I believe they have a plan, and if only they will lead us to the World Cup. we just have to support them”
“I have 100% believe in the technical team led by Otto Addo, they can make an impact at the World Cup when given the job because these are four brains that has been merged together, and each one of them deserves to be there. So, when given the free hands to work, I am 100% sure they will deliver”
Ghana has been paired in Group H against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
Ibrahim Tanko served as an assistant coach for the Black Stars between 2017 to 2019.
