“The agenda of breaking the ‘8’ is not for only one individual but a corporate a responsibility, and I am hovered to organise more women to accomplish the goal,” Mary Pokua has stated.
The NPP Constituency Deputy Women’s Organiser for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai in the Western North region also pledged she will ensure she mobilises more women to effect the agenda by the NPP government in 2024.
According to her, it will be a failure on her part if the number of women who vote in the constituency declines as compared to previous elections.
‘‘It will be a shameful thing for me to fail my own party. I cannot sleep until the party has won the 2024 elections’’ she emphasised.
Mrs. Mary Pokua seized the opportunity to propose to the government to listen to calls from the women’s wing since it can also contribute to the party’s victory.
“Some women in the party need only GHC200 to start some business for their survival, but there is no support. I want to appeal to the NEC of the party to pay attention to the women’s wing and give us some subsidies. These and other influences can contribute to our victory come 2024 general polls” she underscored.
