The Fefe -Kokoney-Akumersu road in Upper Manya Krobo District in Eastern Region continues to deteriorate as a result of heavy downpours being recorded this rainy season.
Sections of the road are not motorable whenever it rains preventing vehicles from going to the farming communities to transport foodstuff to the market centers in nearby towns.
Few drivers who attempt to brace the odds stuck their vehicles in the mud.
Farmers in these communities are therefore compelled to carry a few foodstuffs according to their strength to walk a long distance to market centers.
The Member of Parliament for Upper Manya Krobo, Bismark Tetteh Nyarko worried about the development and has funded temporal rehabilitation of the most deplorable sections of the road.
The deteriorated portions have been graded and graveled to aid vehicles commuting to the farming communities to cart food items to market centers.
Meanwhile, the lawmaker will soon file a question on the floor of Parliament to the Minister for Roads and Highways Kwasi Amoako Atta on the abandoned Dawa -Korlewa to Anyaboni road project.
