A mother and her two children have been burnt to death at Ohwim Asore -Nkwanta a suburb of Kumasi in Ashanti Region.
The incident occured Tuesday September 6,2022 at midnight.
“The fire call was received at 0051 hours. Firefighters succeeded in bringing the raging fire under control at 0207 hours and finally extinguished it at 0233 hours” The fire service said.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service , two (2) fire pumps from Komfo Anokye and Breman Fire Stations were mobilized to the fire scene at Ohwim Asore-Nkwanta that destroyed the contents a three (3) bedroom house.
The unfortunate fire incident claimed the lives of a mother and two children while one person was able to escape unhurt. The fire whose cause is yet to be determined rendered the affected family homeless.
ACFO I Henry Fatai Giwah, the Ashanti Regional Commander met with the family to commiserate with them. He encouraged and assured them to unravel the circumstances that led to the fire.
