Mr Samuel Dentu, DCEO of Ghana Export Promotion Authority joined Hon. Dokuaa Asiamah, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Nana Prah Agyensaim Omanhene of Assin Owirenkyi and other notable personalities to recognize and award 25 Top Iconic Local Brands, at the 9th Made in Ghana Awards Event in Accra.
Addressing the gathering at the Movenpick Hotel, Mr Samuel Dentu encouraged Ghanaians to patronize local brands not only to boost production but also to grow Ghana’s exports and the economy for our own good.
Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Dokua Asiamah commended the organizers of the event, Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, for the initiative to encourage the production and patronage of Ghanaian local brands.
Nana Prah Agyensaim VI, Omanhene of Assin Owirenkyi has been conferred lifetime awardee for his stellar contribution to his community and his efforts at making the Assin Kushe community, the cleanest town in Ghana.
Other brands that received awards of recognition included GOIL, GCB, Latex Foam, Central Furniture, and Bel-Aqua among several other iconic Ghanaian household names.
