Ghana’s Police have shot dead two suspected armed robbers and arrested one other believed to be responsible for the robbery attack at Caprice in Accra on Friday 9th December, 2022 which they shot and robbed an expatriate.
The robbery gang shot the chinese businesswoman through her vehicle at Caprice in Accra after tailing her from the West Hills mall. Fortunate she escaped fatal injury as the bullet hit the lower arm.
The robbers reportedly made away with a bag with an unspecified amount of money after shooting the woman in her hand.
The victim is said to be in stable condition and receiving medical attention at the 37 Military Hospital.
Sustained police intelligence operations since 9th December 2022, took the fight to the robbery gang at their hideout.
The robbers engaged the police in a shoot out and in the process two were shot dead and one was arrested.
One police officer sustained gunshot injury in his thigh. The officer is receiving medical attention.
“The police intelligence operations continues to get the rest of the gang members arrested and we wish to assure the public that we will surely get them”. Statement by the Police said.
