A Toyota Hiace bus with registration number AW 109- 19 traveling from Kumasi to Ho has crashes at Akyem Kukurantumi stretch of the Koforidua to Bunso highway in Eastern region.
The crash occured Monday afternoon at Alexey blocks factory near the highway at Akyem Kukurantumi.
According to the eye witnesses, the speeding bus bursts a tyre and somersaulted multiple times before crashing in a nearby house.
The driver and the victims were rushed to Kukurantumi Community hospital and Tafo Government Hospital for treatment, Akyem Tafo News reported on facebook.
Alcoholic drinks, bags and other belongings of the victims scarterred at the accident scene were salvaged by the Police.
A total of three hundred and twenty -five(325) persons died in 1,177 road crashes in Eastern region from January to October this year,according to the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA).
The figure however represents 8% decrease compared to same period last year of 357 fatalities.
