Nana Adjei Boateng, the New Juaben North Member of Parliament has failed to commission a a new building for the Asokore–Kuma Methodist primary/KG school over shoddy work by the contractor.
According to the angry lawmaker, government has disbursed funds to the contractor to construct ultra-modern classrooms to help foster teaching and learning in the municipality and therefore would not entertain poor work done.
He said that the shoddy work by some contractors is destroying the good reputation of the government good plan of providing quality development agenda at all sectors of the economy.
‘‘I will not commission the project if the necessary thing is not done by the constructor. There is a problem with the ground flooring, ceiling and even the stretch for the disabled to use’’ Nana Adjei Boateng disclosed in the presence of invited guests.
The Asokore–Kuma Methodist primary school is a mission school by the Methodist Church of Ghana situated at Koforidua-Asokore in the New Juaben North municipality.
The project contains three classrooms, wash rooms, and an office.
Meanwhile, the Contractor who was absent at the venue is yet to respond to the latest development.
