The absent of Toilet Facility for Pupil at Asamankese R/C C and D Basic School in the West Akyem Municipality of the Eastern Region has created opportunity for the pupil to ask permission to attend Nature’s Call at Home without returning, according to headteacher of the School, Mr.Joseph Duah Boateng.
He said several moves to get Toilet Facility for the pupil and teachers have proved futile, calling on government and philanthropists as matter of urgency to come to their aid.
Mr. Joseph Duah Boateng said this during Speech and Prize Giving Day Ceremony by the R/C C and D under the theme: “Promoting Basic Education for National Development; The role of the School”.
The headteacher said the School population currently stands at 412 with 13 Teachers.
He said despite this challenge, the School is Contributing to human capital development in the Municipality and upholding high level of discipline and hard work which are key to academic excellence and it has improved enrollment.
The local manager of Catholic Schools in the West Akyem Municipality, Very Reverend Father James Buah-Nkwabisa commended teachers for their dedication and encouraged parents to support teaching and learning.
He stressed on the need for parents to invest in Education and urged parents to control their kids by training them to be servants at infancy and become Royals in the future.
Some teachers and pupil were awarded during the Speech and Prize Giving Day.
