The Pastor in charge of the Sakumono District in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Kofi Amfo-Akonnor has called on Ministry of Education and the Government to stop adopting Americans Education policies and make Ghana Education
inculturation and humane to produce better students for the Country.
He noted that most foreign culture and policies are not good for Ghana, especially in the Education Service and called for an end of politicisation of Ghana Education to train kids but not rear them like birds.
Rev. Dr. Kofi Amfo-Akonnor said this at Asamankese during a send off ceremony in honour of Mrs. Eunice Amfo-Akonnor, West Akyem Municipal Director of Education.
The Presbyterian Church Minister told Ghanaian Students to take their teachers as role models and ignore foreign Culture, adding, students should not follow modern culture and technology which would jeopardize their future.
He added that students must study hard and be deviants to bring something positive to the society and their families.
Rev. Dr. Kofi Amfo-Akonnor said “we know where the world is going. Human being can cut off someone’s head like bird and take pictures of it and spread it.
According to him, Most Ghanaians are refusing to sign the Ghana National Anthem these days to remind them the key words in it, but at his Congregation at Tema Baatsona, they sing the Anthem and Pledge weekly to remind them.
