This year’s Road Safety Christmas & New Year campaign was launched by the Ministry of Transport, Hon. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, in Accra on Thursday.
“Stay Disciplined & be Responsible to Sustain the Gains! Stay Alive!” is the theme of this year’s activities.
The campaign is targeted at, but not limited to, tackling driver fatigue, speeding and driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol
This year’s campaign is supported by the Ghana Police, the DVLA, BIGRS Ghana, CUTS International and the Street Sense Organisation.
Christmas and other festive seasons normally record high cases of road accidents but authorities of the NRSA are optimistic such interventions would help deal with the situation.
