Parliamentary hopeful, Hajia Shamima has formally step down in the party’s upcoming internal parliamentary elections despite picking nomination forms.
Her full statement below:
Good day to all delegates, council of elders, opinion leaders, friends and supporters of NDC in Tamale Central.
I, Hajia Shamima – the Regional Treasurer, N/R wish to formally bring to your attention that I would NOT be filling to contest for the Primaries in Tamale Central as Parliamentary Candidate.
The focus was and still remain working to bring H.E John Dramani Mahama and the NDC back to power by winning both the 2024 Presidential elections and to gain more Parliamentary seats.
I will continue to humbly support the party as a Regional executive as I always do. On this note, kindly consider this as my rescission to run to be the Parliamentary Candidate Tamale Central.
