The Member of Parliament for Sefwi Akontombra Constituency, Hon. Alex Djornobuah Tetteh, has emphatically stated that H.E the vice president, Alhaji Mahmud Bawumia deserves 80% win in the NPP special delegates conference and proved to the polling station executives that they love him, than the UK research group which had predicted 70% in the upcoming Saturday, August 26, 2023 super delegates conference.
In an interview with the media at Sefwi Bekwai, where he met some party folks who praised him about his unprecedented projects done in the Akontombra Constituency.
Hon. Alex Djornobuah Tetteh explained breaking the 8 mantra is not just a mere talk but backed by the track record of vice president, and suggested that Bawumia is the man who can stand with former president John Dramani Mahama and to compete in the 2024 general elections.
He stated that the opposition NDC, has been chastising the NPP as being an Akan party whenever they campaigned in the three Northern regions and the Zongo’s, telling them that the party doesn’t like the Zongo’s, and with the competency and influence of Alhaji Mahmud Bawumia, the NPP will compete the NDC in Northern parts and used NPP strongholds and their flagbearer leading as Bawumia to win 2024 elections.
Hon. Alex Djornobuah Tetteh also expressed ECOWAS must use diplomatic means to deal with the coup d’etat that has happened in Niger.
He, again, added that, his government must also listen to Ghanaians on intentions of sending troops to Niger.
