The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has blamed the bad leadership of the Akufo-Addo administration, which has been in charge of the country’s affairs for around eight years, for the sharp decline in the local economy.
He went on to declare the nation bankrupt, claiming several reasons for his declaration.
He claims that the Akufo-Addo administration has let Ghanaians down and is not ready to accept accountability for the country’s economic disaster.
John Dramani Mahama gave a speech on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the 8th CEO Summit in Accra. “Today, we stand at a critical and troubling crossroads. Our beloved country has become a bankrupt and collapsed economy due to the poor leadership of almost eight years.”
“This leadership has failed Ghanaians and yet he [Akufo-Addo] refuses to accept or even take responsibility for the most reckless management of our economy known in history,” he added.
