The Leader of advocacy, Eastern Affairs Forum, Mr. Kofi Tawiah Boateng has admonished towards the president Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and government appointees emanating from Eastern Region to desist from the continuous lootocracy, Corruption and state capture which happened to conform to the prime objectives of the famous AGYAPADIE DOCUMENTS.
He said the attempt by Hon Bryan Acheampong to capture profitable and iconic state owned hotels and several other strategic state assets including appointees from Eastern Region in the Akuffo Addo / Bawumia government which is tarnishing the image of Eastern Region in wanton levels.
He said the effort by Hon.Dr. Bryan Acheampong to abuse his power, adds to the long list of the catastrophic corruption and state capture being perpetrated by appointees from Eastern Region in the Akuffo Addo/Bawumia government. Just to mention a few is the Ameri Innovation deal by Hon Boakye Agyarko which saw a substantial rise of the original cost which was even contested by this same person.
Furthermore, the recent discovery of pervasive organized corruption at the scholarship secretariat also being advanced by Kingsly Agyemang who happens to be the head of the secretariat as well as doubling as a Parliamentary Candidate for Abuakwa South.
“We therefore want to use this opportunity to indicate strongly to appointees in the Akuffo Addo Bawumia government emanating from the Eastern Region to desist from putting the region name into disrepute and rather focus on addressing high food inflation which becoming a routine phenomenon in the region, worsening living conditions of residents leading to a rise in poverty levels in the region and high cost of doing business in the region, high unemployment rate, high levels of insecurity as well as rising deplorable education, health and roads infrastructure in the region
Mr. Tawiah wish to impress and avert the mind of president Akuffo Addo to his promise of making sure that his appointees do not use their powers to do business in his government but rather move to the private sector to conduct their business if they sole wish.
