The Trade Union Congress in Ghana (TUC) has canceled the celebration of 2020 Workers Day, popularly known as May Day, which falls on 1st May over Pandemic COVID-19.
The TUC has urged workers to stay at home and continue to comply with all the relevant safety protocols in fight against Coronavirus.
A statement issued and signed by TUC secretary-general said workers will resume the celebration in 2021.
The Organized Labour National May Day Planning committee congratulated all Health Workers, Utility Workers, Security Agencies and other essential service providers for their invaluable service to the Nation in these difficult times.
Due to Pandemic COVID -19, there is a ban and restrictions on public gatherings worldwide, including Ghana.
