Former Ghana international Augustine Arhinful has stated emphatically that, Ghana needs destiny if it can lay its hands on the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) again.
According to him, 38 years after winning the AFCON isn’t something good but strongly believes it will take fate for the country to achieve such a great success again.
“For me as a person, I believe God has a purpose for everyone including Ghana and when it comes to soccer, if it’s our destiny to win the AFCON again, we will surely win it. When you are destined to be somewhere, nothing can stop you.” He averred.
Citing 2010 world cup which was hosted in South Africa as an example, Augustine Arhinful stated that, Ghana wasn’t destined to beat Uruguay that’s how much Ghana lost the game.
“I have always believed in destiny, but we need to work at it to make it a reality,” he said.
Arhinful had a stint with Ghana Premier League side Ashantigold SC before moving abroad.
