Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfield enforcer Michael Akuffo has advised current Ghanaian footballers to invest more during their playing days to ensure that they don’t face difficulties when they retire from the game.
According to him, his colleagues should think about life after football by making sure they save some amount of money to make ends meet at the end of their career.
“I will call on my colleagues to think about saving money for the future. Once you save, then you buy a land and build your own house because you cannot play until thy kingdom come, you will definitely call it a quit”
“I have advised myself to build a house to ward of unnecessary insult from people. If I’m unable to do anything in life, I should be able to build a single room for my kids” he told Angel FM in Kumasi.
Akuffo has signed for King Faisal and is set to feature for them should the Ghana Premier League bounces back.
