The political atmosphere in the lead-up to the general elections is growing tense, with the two leading political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party ( NPP), exchanging sharp words.
The largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress, has warned the governing New Patriotic Party sternly, threatening a “boot for boot response if they resort to violence during the upcoming December 7 elections.
This warning follows allegations from the NPP claiming that the NDC has a grand plan to incite chaos during the elections.
In response to these claims, Hon Seth Ankrah a member of the NDC communication team Ashanti region, emphasised that any attempt by the NPP to spark violence will be met with a firm and resolute reaction from the opposition Party.
According to the communication member Hon Seth Ankrah, the NDC flagbearer is not a violence person, but we know that President Akufo-Addo has a vested interest in the elections because Dr Bawumia serves as a convenient candidate to cover up his administration’s wrongdoings.
He warned that, the NDC will not be a casualty as we were in the 202 elections. In 2024, l can assure you.
“However, he reiterate that the NDC is committed to defending its supporters and ensuring the elections are conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner.
“Hon Seth Ankrah called on the Electoral Commission and Security agencies to remain neutral and protect the integrity of the electoral process.
