President John Dramani Mahama, through Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has restated his commitment to a reform and change agenda targeted at boosting Ghana’s economy.
Dr. Forson highlighted the government’s commitment to measures that support economic stability and national growth during his presentation of the 2025 Budget Statement to Parliament on Tuesday, March 11.
“Mahama has chosen the path to reform and transformation, ensuring that we build a resilient and inclusive economy,” he stated.
He claims that in order to solve economic issues and promote long-term sustainability, the Mahama-led administration is concentrating on structural changes. He outlined increased social services, infrastructure development, and employment creation as top priorities.
Dr. Forson went on to say that the administration is committed to reviving economic confidence by implementing strategic policies that increase efficiency and production. As part of the larger transformation goal, he mentioned the 24-hour economy policy and focused investments in important industries.
“Our focus is on strengthening the foundations of the economy to ensure sustainable growth for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he added.
The Finance Minister emphasized that cooperation is necessary to achieve the intended economic turnaround and asked Parliament and stakeholders to support the government’s reform plan.
In order to bring about significant change, he reassured Ghanaians that the Mahama administration is still dedicated to open governance and responsible financial management.
Dr. Forson came to the conclusion that the government’s aim for a successful and changed Ghana is reflected in the 2025 Budget.
