Former Ghana defender Dan Quaye has eulogized Black Stars players for their top-class performance in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana defeated Chad 5-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium before defeating Madagascar 3-0 in Morocco in the fifth and sixth rounds of the qualifying series.
The magnificent victories over Chad and Madagascar has propelled the Black Stars to the summit of the standings in Group I, with four games to end the qualifying series.
Speaking to Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the former Hearts of Oak defender expressed satisfaction with the performance of the players while urging them to maintain momentum.
“This is what we all wish for. I will commend the players for their performance in both games. We hope they continue like this. We are not there yet but with time, I’m sure we will get there” he said.
Ghana’s World Cup qualifying quest is back on track following back-to-back wins in recent matches.
The Black Stars will regroup for the continuation of the 2026 World Cup qualifications in September.
