A taxi driver has died in a gory accident on the Asuboi stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highway.
The accident occurred when the Daf Trailer truck with registration number GC 8193-12 transporting cement crush and pushed an Opel Astra Taxi cab with registration GR 8843 -X into a ditch.
The Driver of the Taxi Cab died but the Trailer driver and mate survived.
According to the Trailer driver who identified himself as Dramani Zathani, he overtook the taxi cab but suddenly his truck burst tyre hence lost control of the steering wheel which he crushed the taxi of which some of the bags of cement fell and crashed onto the taxi cab killing the taxi driver.
Personnel from Suhum Fire Service, Police Service, Ayensuano Nadmo, and Ayensuano Ambulance Corp went to extricate the driver and his mate on the Daf Trailer as well as the dead driver.
The driver and his mate are on admission at Suhum Government Hospital for medical attention whereas the body of the taxi cab driver deposited at the same Hospital Morgue.
