The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with Kwafokrom GOIL Filling Station attack near Nsawam in the Eastern Region which occured on May 24,2026.
The suspects are Amos Boame and Collins Adjei.
A statement issued Tueday May 26 2026 and signed by DSP David Fianko-Okyere of the Public Affairs Unit, said that police are currently pursuing an accomplice identified only as Ashivie, who is believed to have played a role in the robbery.
“The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects Amos Boame and Collins Adjei in connection with the Armed Robbery that took place at Kwafokrom near Nsawam on Sunday, May 24, 2026,” the statement said.
Police disclosed that several items believed to have been used in the robbery were retrieved from the suspects and are being kept as exhibits.
The exhibits include:An Alder Tupal pump-action gun with serial number 245A-12944,One electronic shocker, a cutlass and a bulletproof vest.
The police said the suspects shot and injured a security guard and a pump attendant during the robbery after the victims had taken refuge in an office within the filling station.
“They also made away with cash in the sum of Thirteen Thousand Four Hundred and Sixty Ghana Cedis (GH¢13,460.00),” the release added.
Police investigators who visited the scene recovered nineteen spent cartridges and one live round of ammunition.
The injured victims are currently receiving treatment and are said to be in stable condition.
