The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Abuakwa South, Hon. Nana Adu Sarpong Addo Aikins Jnr., has firmly dismissed suggestions that he inherited debts after assuming office.
Speaking in an interview with Kwamina Sam Biney on Bryt Adekyee Mu Nsem Morning Show on Bryt FM, the MCE stated that there was no official documentation or financial record indicating any outstanding liabilities at the time he took over the administration of the assembly.
Hon. Addo Aikins also paid glowing tribute to his predecessor for what he described as a commendable legacy, expressing confidence in his own determination to build on the gains made and leave behind a worthy legacy for the people of the municipality.
Hon. Addo Aikins said his administration is deeply committed to transparency, accountability, and sound financial management to ensure that public resources are properly utilized in line with the development needs of the municipality.
He further revealed that strategic measures have already been put in place to strengthen the operations of the assembly and improve efficiency in governance and service delivery.
Reaffirming his commitment to the progress of the area, Hon. Addo Aikins stressed that his primary focus remains the execution of impactful development projects and the improvement of living standards for residents of Abuakwa South.
