Dr. Joshua Zaato of the University of Ghana reports that certain NDC leaders are already concerned about Mahamudu Bawumia’s growing political influence.
Speaking on JoyNews’ AM reveal, he argued that comments from NDC figures reveal dread and terror.
“General Mosquito is already scared about the record of Bawumia,” he said. “What are you afraid of?”
He claims that even though Bawumia hasn’t formally begun his campaign, conversations about him nonetheless dominate political discourse.
“He has not been making promises, he has not started a campaign, but already they are warning people about him,” Dr Zaato said.
He argued that Bawumia’s track record and public image continue to make him a strong political figure.
“If powerful people in government are reacting this way, it tells you that a storm is coming,” he added.
