The chief of Effiduase, Nana Okoawia Dwumoh Baabu has expressed his gratitude to the Municipal chief executive, Hon. Samuel Adongo for showing courtesy to the chiefs of New Juaben North by celebrating Akwasidae with the traditional Council.
He further thanked the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly for presenting the new MCE to the chiefs and the people in the area.
“You presented yourself to represent the good people of New Juaben North in the 2024 general elections as a parliamentary candidate” according to Nana Okoawia Baabu.
“Though New Juaben North has been the stronghold of the NPP, your vote in the 2024 elections is unprecedented.
You didn’t win, you came back to show appreciation, even though the winner of the parliamentary election has not come to express his gratitude to us.
You didn’t relax after the elections, you went on to apply for the MCE position, a very big position.
We the chiefs of New Juaben North will give you our support to succeed as MCE.
We gave the assembly our community centre when you needed a place, we further donated our land when you wanted a permanent place.
This means that Effiduase has always supported the assembly
We pledge our full support to you.
We want you to be the best MCE in history to come” Nana Okoawiah Baabu stressed.
He also advised Hon. Adongo not to centre development in one community but rather spread them across all the towns and communities within the municipality.
He indicated that it will make the administration of the MCE remarkable one.
“Once again, we welcome you as the new Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben North” Nana Okoawia concluded.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Adongo was happy and appreciative for the support he has received from chiefs and promised not to let any obstacle come between him and the chiefs and development of other communities.
“My term as MCE will be a blessing to New Juaben North” he assured
He conveyed the President’s policy to complete all legacy projects and assured that, all projects started by the previous government will be completed.
He revealed that new Juaben North municipality will get an ultramodern 24-hour market during his time as MCE.
Projects he mentioned includes building a new school in Ntanoso
He pledged to make sanitation an everyday activity to promote a healthy environment and encouraged the people to keep their surroundings very clean.
He also mentioned that household refuse sites should not be encouraged.
Plans are underway to get refuse bins in vantage places within the Municipality.
He also visited chiefs in Asokore, Oyoko, Jumapo and Suhyen all within the New Juaben North Municipal.
