As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to take steps to enhance the capacity of Diplomatic Agents of Ghana, an interactive session was held on day two of the on-going Conference between the Envoys and Experts from key sectors of the country.
It was to facilitate knowledge sharing on strategies to promote Ghana’s Economic Diplomacy Agenda, which is essential to the country’s reset plan.
The discussions centered on economic diplomacy as an essential tool for the promotion of national interests, attracting competitive funding, optimizing natural resources, and capitalizing on Ghana’s cultural and strategic advantages.
Some of the benefits including job creation, investment growth, increased competitiveness, and enhanced global partnerships were highlighted.
Notable topics which were also discussed were good neighborliness, diplomatic practice, humanitarian and consular matters.
