CALL FOR IMMEDIATE RESIGNATION Of NEW JUABEN SOUTH MP, MICHAEL O. BAAFI
I, Prince Henry Koforidua , a concerned constituent of the New Juaben South constituency, am calling for the immediate resignation of my MP, Michael Baafi, following his unwarranted statement on a national TV. My MP declared vehemently to resign from his position as an MP if his party(NPP) loses the Akwatia bye-election.
It’s rather unfortunate on his side that his party lost the seat to the NDC candidate. I am therefore calling on my MP to resign from his post as an MP.
I believe that such a statement by my MP is needless, and he must be compelled to act according to his words so that it can serve as a deterrent to many lose talkers.
I suppose promises are meant to be fulfilled, and a man, his calibre, must stay true to his words because not only has his utterances undermined his position as an MP, but also the dignity of his constituents.
Also, if he fails to honour his promises, I am certain that he would not honour any of the many promises he made to us in the constituency.
As a proud constituent of New Juaben South, I want Michael Baafi to resign because he has no credibility, and his comments do not represent the interest of his constituents.
New Juaben South constituency deserves a more credible, trustworthy, transparent, bold, and someone who is circumspect in his or her utterances.
