The chief of Kyera, who doubles as the Adontenhene for Sehwi Bekwai Traditional area, Nana Marfo Panyin II, has advised the management of Joydaddy Multimedia to recruit staff who can cast news in the Sehwi language.
During the 10th anniversary of Lord 107.1 FM, a subsidiary of Joydaddy Multimedia in the western North Region, Nana Marfo, who spoke on behalf of the Omanhene, Oyeadeeyie Basape Kojo Armah III, explained that having news in their language, which is the sehwi language, will help communicate issues better to the indigenes, especially the aged.
In addition, Nana Marfo praised Lord FM, saying, Its arrival has really helped the community.
“Before the arrival of Lord FM, the chiefs were outdated when it came to issues happening in the town, but the arrival of this radio station has helped us to be abreast with situations happening around us.
Again, their educations during their program’s presentation have helped the indigenes, especially the youth who see education as useless, now attending school with joy.” Nana Marfo praised Lord FM.
Mr Isaac Akwetey-Okunor, who graced the event with a speech from the Chief Executive Officer of Joydaddy Multimedia, Dr Manfred Takyi, said management with adhere to the request of the people of Sehwi regarding the news in Sehwi.
During his speech delivery, he commends staff for their tremendous performance, saying, “I wish to take this moment to express my deepest appreciation to our dedicated staff, both past and present. You are the heartbeat of this station. To our presenters, producers, technicians, administrative team, and all who work tirelessly behind the scenes—you make magic happen every single day.”
He used the opportunity to also appreciate stakeholders of the company, especially advertisers who never disappoint the station in terms of contribution.
“We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our advertisers, sponsors, and partners. Your trust and collaboration have been essential in keeping us on air and helping us grow.”
The event saw dignitaries like chiefs, politicians, businessmen and women among many others.
The CEO, through the administrative manager, promised to make Lord FM a better station in terms of vision and purpose, especially in the field of embracing technology, expanding reach and investing in the generation of broadcasters who will continue the legacy laid.
