Ghana wrapped up 2025 in 72nd position globally in the FIFA Men’s World Ranking, signaling the teams’ modest performance throughout the year.
The ranking also saw the Black Stars finished on the 14th position on the African continent. This means the West Africa football heavyweight position remains unchanged as compared to the November ranking.
Ghana saw a slight improvement in the ranking compared to December, where the Black Stars ended the year in the 77th position globally.
At the top of the global rankings, Spain finished 2025 as the world’s highest-ranked team, followed closely by Argentina in second place and France in third.
England and Brazil occupy fourth and fifth positions respectively, while Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Croatia complete the top ten.
On the African front, Morocco maintain their status as the continent’s highest-ranked side. Senegal sit in second place, with Algeria, Egypt and Nigeria rounding off the top five African teams as the year comes to a close.
