The Ernest Mantey Foundation, spearheaded by philanthropist Ernest Mantey, has made a meaningful donation to the Jehovah Rapha Orphanage Home in the Suhum Municipality, reaffirming the foundation’s dedication to humanitarian service and community development.
The donation forms part of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to support vulnerable children and improve living conditions in orphanages and less privileged institutions across the country. Items presented to the home included soft drinks, boxes of biscuits, detergents, bottled water, yam, plantain, and several other essential supplies, all aimed at easing the daily challenges faced by the children and caregivers.

Speaking to Nhyiraba Solomon Nartey of Bryt FM after the presentation, Ernest Mantey highlighted the importance of giving back to society, particularly to children who require love, care, and opportunities to grow. He noted that supporting orphans goes beyond charity, describing it as a moral responsibility. He further assured that the Ernest Mantey Foundation will continue to support initiatives that positively impact lives and strengthen communities.

Otemah Doris, Administrator of Jehovah Rapha Orphanage Home and School, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the foundation for the timely support. She described the donation as a significant boost to the home, explaining that such assistance plays a vital role in meeting the children’s educational, health, and basic needs.

She also used the opportunity to appeal to individuals, corporate organizations, churches, and non-governmental bodies to extend support to the orphanage. According to her, consistent assistance from benevolent institutions is essential to ensuring the wellbeing and proper upbringing of the children.
The visit and donation by the Ernest Mantey Foundation underscore the growing impact of private foundations in social welfare and community support. Acts of kindness such as this continue to inspire hope and promote collective responsibility in caring for vulnerable children in society.
