Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has announced an initiative as a free weekly distribution of Ghana-made cocoa drinks to public basic school pupils in the constituency.
According to him, this initiative is to help encourage school attendance and foster National Pride among Pupils.
“By sourcing exclusively Ghana-made products, we support our hardworking cocoa farmers and local manufacturers,” he said, adding that the initiative would also encourage school attendance and foster national pride among pupils. He stated
The former celebrated actor and lawmaker said the initiative will take effect from March 2, 2026, and cover pupils from Class 1 to Class 4 in all public basic schools in the area.
“Effective 2nd March 2026, all public basic school pupils in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency from Class 1 to Class 4 will receive free Ghana-made cocoa drinks once a week until the end of the year,” he added
He explained that the programme is aimed at improving child nutrition and supporting local industry.
