The Bongo District Assembly and the entire Upper East Region are mourning the passing of Mr. Joseph Abaa Akaseke, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bongo.
His death was confirmed by the Bongo Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Tahiru Aberinga, in an interview with Graphic Online. Although the exact cause of death has not been officially disclosed, Mr. Akaseke reportedly passed away on Sunday evening, February 22, at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment following a short illness.
