Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim says any man who hopes to marry her must understand that she cannot be confined to traditional domestic roles, stressing that she needs a partner who respects both her modern ambitions and her traditional values.
Speaking in a recent interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, the actress explained that she is not the type of woman who will remain limited to the bedroom and kitchen, noting that her career and lifestyle require a partner who supports her active public life.
“I’m not the kind of woman who will just sit in the bedroom and kitchen and stay there. I have to be out there. So, I need somebody who complements me, someone who understands that I’m both traditional and modern. We meet each other halfway,” she said during the interview with host Kwame Dadzie on March 7, 2026.
Despite her past experiences, the actress indicated she is still open to marriage in the future. When asked whether she would give marriage another chance after her previous divorce and relationship challenges, she responded confidently.
“Yes, I will. I will. Why not?” she stated.
According to her, her experiences over the years have shaped her expectations of love and partnership. She noted that maturity and personal growth have helped her understand the kind of relationship that adds value to her life.
“You already know what you want that adds value to your life right now. And you really don’t want any stress,” she explained.
The actress also addressed perceptions some men have about her because of her celebrity status, saying that fame sometimes makes potential partners assume she is difficult or high maintenance.
“So, when I hear guys say that, I just think, then you’re not the one for me. It actually makes it easier for me to weed out the ones who aren’t,” she added.
Juliet Ibrahim was previously married to Kwadwo Safo Jnr, son of inventor and Kantanka Automobile Company founder Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. They got married in 2010 but got divorced in 2014. They have a son together.
After the marriage ended, she was also in a relationship with Nigerian rapper Iceberg slim. Over the years, Juliet has also spoken publicly about the difficult experiences she endured in some relationships, including abuse and sexual assault.
